Food assistance is provided to residents in the communities of Carlisle, Carlisle Springs, Mt. Holly Springs, Boiling Springs, Gardners (Cumberland County), Plainfield, New Kingstown, and Middlesex, Pennsylvania. To be eligible a households combined income must be 150% of the poverty level or below, as set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
A person in need must bring along photo ID and know their basic income and expense information. Income is determined by self-declaration of need.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program is operated in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) policy, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. Eligibility is based upon the 2011-2012 income guidelines listed below.
