




Elaine is the founder of Project SHARE. She started her vision to help those in need out of the trunk of her car 27 years ago. Elaine is a graduate of Dickinson College and is currently working on a Masters in Non-Profit Management at Eastern University. She is daily learning about God’s grace and mercy alongside the poor of the Greater Carlisle Community.
Matthew oversees projects, staff development and HR, and is generally making sure the organization keeps running smoothly. Matthew is married to Abigail (they have four children), and he enjoys running marathons (9 so far), reading, writing, and politics.
Nicole handles all marketing, media, and public relations opportunities at Project SHARE. However, she also helps with sponsorship, special events, and kitchen hospitality. Nicole lives with her husband, step-daughter, and two furry children (the dogs). Nicole enjoys anything that allows her to be creative! She loves all things beach, a good summer concert, wine, cheese, and “road trips”!
Mary oversees all of our volunteers who come in to help serve, and letting them know just how important each one of them is to us. Mary’s husband is Tim; they have four grown daughters and three beautiful granddaughters! She loves to walk, be with her family, and ride on the back of her husband’s motorcycle!
Tammie Gitt is the Farm Stand Coordinator, which means she makes sure that there are plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables available at the monthly distributions and at the Farm Stand. An avid reader and writer, Tammie also serves as a social media advocate for The Seed Company, a Bible translation organization, and may be seen riding her blue bike to work on good days!
Vivian performs all accounting functions with the assistance of several invaluable volunteers. She is a grandmother of three and is retired from Sprint and Ahold. Vivian has “RV fever” and is looking forward to retiring soon and traveling with her husband, Denny, and their dog, Gretta.
Deb coordinates all warehouse activities with other departments and volunteers. Deb loves being reminded of the simple things in life. She takes great pride and joy in her grandbaby.
Doug “picks things up and puts things down.” He helps keep the warehouse running smoothly. Doug is a returnee to the Carlisle area and is trying to get himself and his family established. He enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and is an avid NASCAR fan.
Sue handles most of our recipients’ needs. She oversees food assistance and eligibility, emergency food, senior boxes and the baby room. She was born and raised in Carlisle, where she still lives with her husband and two children. Sue and her family are die hard Steelers and “Bears, Bears, Bears” fans!
Marie oversees the very busy front office. She, along with awesome office volunteers, creates a warm and friendly atmosphere for all who need assistance, both walk-ins and phone inquiries. She schedules drivers for food pick up and vehicle maintenance. Marie and her husband, Harry, love to practice hospitality in their home. They have two grown children and one granddaughter who is the “Joy” of their lives. She was born and raised in North New Jersey and is an avid New York Giants fan, but don’t hold that against her.
